We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Melrose, Alan and Lynn were so friendly and helpful and it was in the perfect location for us without a car - 30 second walk from the bus stop, minute walk from the town centre, and a great starting point for some fantastic mountains! Breakfast was lovely, and we really appreciated the small luxuries such as our own dressing gowns! Would highly recommend it to anyone.

My stay at the Melrose Guesthouse was enjoyable and pleasant. Lynn and Alan do everything for the guest to make them feel "at home". Nice clean rooms. Thanks !

Delightful Guest House with helpful friendly owners. Good location, secure parking available (pre book). Clean very comfortable room and a very good breakfast. Would recommend to family and friends - hope to visit again.

We spent 4 nights at the Melrose in November 2010 and our stay was great, Alan & Lyne our great welcoming hosts.First class rooms and breakfast,Will stay again and recommend to friends.

We stayed at the Melrose Guest House for the 3rd year running over the August Bank Holiday Weekend. Yet again we had a fabulous stay. As usual a very warm welcome from Dorothy, our host for the weekend. The food was excellent and the rooms we stayed in were on the top floor, very spacious, clean & comfortable with lovely views over the hills & beyond. We hope to see you again next year!!
