Thank you for a wonderfully relaxing break. Immaculate accommodation and extremely friendly hosts that would be very hard to beat.
Will definitely recommend you to everyone we know (and some we don't) - hope to see you all very soon.

Alan & Lynn- thankyou for such a warm welcome and high standards! Meticulously clean, fabulous locally-sourced Englisg Full breakfasts- meat and vegetarian, with all the cereals yoghurt and fruit you can fit in. Alan is a mine of information, with lots of ideas and suggestions for the type of break you want. Are you are walker or just a relaxing break? Alan will offer suggestions and recommendations to fit your needs. Very useful when a stranger to the area, as I was. A great weekend break enhanced by a great home from home. Certainly recommend! See you again soon!

We just spent two nights at the Melrose. The room was lovely and spotlessly clean. The breakfast was great and Dorothy our host for the weekend was lovely as Lynn and Alan were away on holiday. We will certainly be visiting the Melrose again.

Everytime is a joy. And we have stopped there 5 times! Always a warm welcome & lovely clean & comfortable rooms.

Stayed 1 night 26th june 08, lovely room, spotlessly clean and comfortable, faultless service at all times, a little gem of a B and B, well worth a visit. With thanks from us both, we will return for a longer stay soon.
